Job Title: Compliance Officer
🌐 About the Company:
We are recruiting a COMPLIANCE OFFICER for one of our clients. It is a well established and regulated financial institution operating since 2022. The company is looking for new team members to join their family due to fast global expansion.
The company is dealing with Instant Bank to Bank payments for e-commerce business in the EEA and UK. Specifically the company’s main area of expertise is Account to Account payments within the Open Banking ecosystem. “We are now more than 100 people in the group and are looking to double this number in the upcoming year.”
With offices in UK, Malta, Latvia and soon in Estonia the company welcomes to join their team onsite or remotely if you feel more comfortable and productive within your own personal space. This year is also planning to launch services in Canada, Brazil and Australia.
🔍 Responsibilities:
Draft and maintain policies, procedures and controls to manage compliance risks arising from the company's business activities
Assist with the onboarding process with banking partners, including activities such as completing application forms and participating in compliance calls
Monitor and report on regulatory (UK, EU) developments and advise management on the impact of changes in regulations on the business
Conduct ongoing compliance risk assessments and provide recommendations for remediation where necessary
Create internal and external reports on compliance related matters
Develop and deliver training programs for employees to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure that regulatory requirements are met
Report directly to Chief Compliance Officer/MLRO
Other tasks related to compliance matters
🎓 Requirements:
3+ years of experience in Fintech working as Compliance Officer
Legal and regulatory knowledge UK, EU
Attention to details
Risk assessment skills
Understanding of banking and financial products
Strong sense of responsibility
Work Independently
Latvian, Russian (communication level), English (communication level, writing)
