Job Title: Compliance QA Officer

We are recruiting a COMPLIANCE QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER for one of our clients. It is a well established and regulated financial institution operating since 2022. The company is looking for new team members to join their family due to fast global expansion.

The company is dealing with Instant Bank to Bank payments for e-commerce business in the EEA and UK. Specifically the company’s main area of expertise is Account to Account payments within the Open Banking ecosystem. “We are now more than 100 people in the group and are looking to double this number in the upcoming year.”

With offices in UK, Malta, Latvia and soon in Estonia the company welcomes to join their team onsite or remotely if you feel more comfortable and productive within your own personal space. This year is also planning to launch services in Canada, Brazil and Australia.

As a Compliance Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of compliance processes within the department. You will play a critical role in evaluating adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to provide actionable feedback will be essential in this role to maintain high standards of compliance.

🔍 Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Compliance Quality Assurance Processes:

  • Collaborate with compliance management to develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures.

  • Define testing methodologies, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate compliance activities.

  • Establish criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of compliance controls and processes.

Conduct Compliance Quality Assurance Reviews:

  • Perform periodic reviews and audits of compliance activities, documentation, and reports to assess adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Identify areas of non-compliance, deficiencies, or gaps in compliance processes and controls.

  • Document findings, observations, and recommendations for corrective action.

Provide Feedback and Recommendations:

  • Provide feedback to compliance staff on the quality and completeness of compliance documentation, reports, and filings.

  • Make recommendations for improvements to compliance processes, procedures, and controls based on review findings.

  • Work with compliance management to implement corrective actions and improvements.

Monitor Compliance Metrics and Reporting:

  • Monitor compliance metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness and efficiency of compliance activities.

🎓 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, legal studies, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, internal audit, quality assurance, or a related field, preferably in the financial services industry or regulated environment.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance controls, and best practices.

  • Experience with compliance testing, auditing, or quality assurance methodologies and tools.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify compliance issues, root causes, and corrective actions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compliance concepts and recommendations to diverse audiences.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in compliance reviews and documentation.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Russian (communication level), English (communication level, writing).
